Imofossen (also called Imogorzi) is an absolutely incredible “double waterfall” on the upper part of the Reisa river, deep in the Reisa National Park.
Imofossen is created by two rivers plunging over the edge of granite walls into a very impressive, deep, and narrow canyon.
Imofossen is not very high. The smaller step, which is created by the big river Reisa, is about 15 meters, the higher step, created by the small river Spanijohka, is about 28 meters.
But measuring by its beauty and wildness, it is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in all of Norway.

TOUR DESCRIPTION
You can reach Imofossen from two directions on marked trails.
You can walk along the Reisa River about 30 km from the National Park Visitor Center Ovi Raishiin near the Saraelv settlement.
The second option is a 28-kilometer hike across the remote mountain plateau from a lake Ráisjávri.
Both options are relatively long and demanding, and you will need all the equipment for sleeping and cooking in the wild.
In the summer you can book a guided trip to Imofofossen. You will go with the traditional river boat as far as the water level on the Reisa River allows, and for the rest, around 8–10 km, you will walk.
