Come join us for a trip on the Reisafjord where there’s a big possibility to get a closer view of the sea eagle. One type of dolphine that lives in the arctic ocean and the porpoise tend to play around in the fjord. This experience will take your breath away. If we are lucky with the tidal current in Straumfjord, it will take us in or out of the narrow fjord opening.

TOUR DESCRIPTION
During the tour, we’ll offer great guidance about life by the sea, and you’ll meet sea eagles and experience other bird and animal life in the fjord. We may also encounter porpoises and white-beaked dolphins who can show us their lightning-fast hunt for herring and other small fish.
If the conditions are just right, the tidal current in the Straumfjord will take us in or out of the narrow fjord opening. The tide is a large wave that moves across the oceans, and the water being forced through narrow straits causes strong tidal currents to occur. They are formed by the height differences between the tide’s ebb and flow, which has two high tides and two low tides per day. The currents can move at very high speeds, which is what we hope to use during the trip.
